The Vitality Netball Superleague semi-finals are coming up, so we asked England captain Ama Agbeze to answer key questions about Saturdays matches. Reigning champions Surrey Storm will take on Hertfordshire Mavericks in a repeat of last years Grand Final, while Manchester Thunder will face Team Bath, with both matches being shown live on Sky Sports.Loughborough Lightnings Agbeze, who will join our Sky Sports experts, has given her verdict on both matches and makes a prediction about the eventual title winners. Who are the favourites? Manchester Thunder finished top of the Superleague table People are billing Manchester Thunder as their favourites to win, but I dont necessarily think they will. I think the favourite tag is based on their form and the players they have in their squad. They have been building as the season has gone on and they are at the peak of their confidence. Other teams are probably thinking: we have been beaten by them, or we havent had the best games against them. They will go into the finals with a psychological edge and other teams will also have that on their minds, which could have an impact on how they perform.Who is the surprise package? Team Bath ended the season strongly ahead of their semi-final in Manchester Team Bath again have that confidence and belief, irrespective of who is on court. Their coach Anna Stembridge has instilled that in them. I just think they will surprise a few people. On any given day, Team Bath have got the potential to beat any of the teams in the semi-finals.Can Surrey keep their title? Surrey Storm are two wins away from retaining the Superleague trophy They are the team that Im backing more. They have that good ability to analyse the opposition, even before they get to the game. Their analysis is really good and they know exactly what theyre doing. Their game plans change weekly and they know how to play as a team before they step on the court. It will be a case of whether they can perform to that game plan for a whole 60 minutes, or extra-time if it goes that way. Going on their performances this season, their consistency, I think Surrey can retain their title.Players to watchManchester Thunder: Laura Malcolm, who has been named as the vice-captain for England, is a really consistent performer. Shes so good on defence. Shes got even better this season and her driving attack is really good. Sometimes she plays centre and fits well into their system. Laura Malcolm has impressed the England selectors Hertfordshire Mavericks: Sophie Carter. She reads the game really well. Sophie is part of a strong overall team at Hertfordshire. Across the board, they all work so well together as a team, but if I had to pick out someone - it would be Sophie as he she is a key player for Mavericks. Sophie Carter (right) has proved her worth to Hertfordshire Mavericks Surrey Storm: Georgia Lees. She doesnt usually start every game, but she always makes a big impact when she comes on. She plays similarly to Tamsin Greenway. I dont know if she naturally plays like Tamsin or whether Tamsin as a coach has rubbed off on her. Surrey Storms Georgia Lees is one of the exciting young talents in the Superleague Its just subtle things that she does. She does not do everything at 100 miles per hour. She will be stood next to a defender and then suddenly will appear on the circle edge. Her subtle movement and play is key. Lees was voted Player of the Match as her side defeated Team Northumbria 45-58. Team Bath: They again are a team that have a general collection of good, solid performers. I think Mia Ritchie has had a number of good performances, but Im going for Joanna Vann. She is a good, consistent player, who makes the connection between attack and defence. Ama Agbeze on Joanna Vann She is a good, consistent player, who makes the connection between attack and defence. She is very good defensively. Who will win the Superleague title? Coach Dan Ryan will be hoping to mastermind a title win for Manchester Thunder Im torn between Storm and Thunder. As I said, Bath on the day could be good, but I just dont think they will reach those levels. Thunder and Storm is a battle of confidence and belief. I want the Storm to win and all my Thunder friends are going to hate me, but I do think Thunder are going to pip them to the post. Their attack is really good, Ellie Cardwell is a really strong upcoming shooter, and the shooting is pretty consistent. Generally Manchesters attack is very hard to beat. It will be a competitive game, but Thunder will be the team in front at the end. OAKLAND, Calif. -- The Golden State Warriors are banking on Andrew Boguts future in the Bay Area. The Warriors and the often-injured centre agreed to a contract extension Friday, a day after the team finished the preseason. A person with knowledge of the deal told The Associated Press it was for three years and $36 million and could be worth up to about $42 million with incentives. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the terms had not been publicly disclosed. Boguts contract was set to expire after this season. "We put a lot of money into believing hes going to be healthy," general manager Bob Myers said. "In this business, youre taking risks on players, whether they stay healthy or not. We used all our analysis, all the things we knew, all the information that was at hand with us to make the decision we did. "Size is a scarcity in the NBA, and we felt like this was somebody we needed to have going forward to be a successful NBA basketball team. Hes a big piece of our recent and past success and hopefully future success. So for us, we were willing to take that risk, and we think its a good one." The Warriors acquired Bogut in a trade-deadline deal in March 2012 that sent guard Monta Ellis to Milwaukee. Bogut did not play for Golden State that season while recovering from a fractured left ankle. The 7-footer from Australia missed 50 of 82 games last season, mostly because of soreness in his surgically repaired ankle. He also battled back and knee injuries while averaging a career-low 5.8 points to go with 7.7 rebounds, but he was at his best in the playoffs, making a major difference on defence to help the Warriors get to the second round. Myers, Bogut and Boguts agent, David Bauman, spoke generally in May about an extension and agreed to revisit talks more seriously this October. Bogut said he gave the Warriors a Friday deadline to get a deal done because he didnt want negotiations to drag into the regular season, which begins Wednesday night at home against the Los Angeles Lakers. "I was never a greedy guy that was going to come and say, Pay me X or Im walking or pay me X or Im going to free agency," Bogut said.dddddddddddd. "I think Im realistic about the injuries that Ive had and the tough times that Ive had with the organization and the pressure that theyve faced with fans for making the trade. It was one of those things where we came to common ground and I was happy. I couldve easily said, Ill wait till the off-season and easily make more money in the long run and have someone just chasing you. But Im happy with my deal right now." When Bogut has played, he has played well. He has career averages of 12.2 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.58 blocks in 440 regular-season games over eight seasons. Staying healthy enough to play, though, has been a constant battle since Milwaukee made him the No. 1 overall pick out of Utah in the 2005 draft. Bogut took anti-inflammatory injections just to stay on the court in the playoffs last season, but he showed up in the biggest moments despite his limitations. He had 21 rebounds, 14 points, four blocks and three assists in the Game 6 clincher against Denver in the first round. He also fought through pain until the eventual Western Conference champion San Antonio Spurs sent the Warriors home in six games in the second round. Bogut missed the end of the 2009-10 season with Milwaukee when he dislocated his right elbow, sprained his right wrist and broke his right hand in a hard fall to the floor. He also missed significant time with an injured lower back in the 2008-09 season. Bogut has repeatedly called the injuries "freak accidents," but the setbacks have taken a toll, physically and mentally. At one point while rehabbing his ankle most of last season, Bogut said he was in a "dark place" and even considered retirement. Instead, Golden States surprising playoffs -- and his role in it -- left him rejuvenated. He lost about 15 pounds this off-season, showing up in training camp in great shape. "Just kind of surreal," Bogut said. "Just kind of thinking about coming to the NBA as a kid was a dream, it wasnt reality. To be extended now ... its an unbelievable feeling."
